（中央社記者謝佳珍台北20日電）前總統馬英九1999年時任台北市長，認養流浪狗「馬小九」，2008年擔任總統後，馬小九一同入住官邸，可見對其疼愛，不過鮮少在媒體曝光的馬小九今天卻傳出去年10月死亡的消息。
馬英九對馬小九因老化死亡的訊息保密到家。去年4月，馬英九還在臉書提到馬小九說，馬小九現雖高齡16歲，但氣宇軒昂，一表狗才；受到主人愛好運動的感召，牠也能吃能睡，身體健朗，就像家人一樣。
馬英九曾說，當初認養，馬小九大概只有2、3個月大，雖然牠有時候脾氣不是那麼穩定，但還是帶來很多的樂趣。
馬英九夫人周美青相當疼愛馬小九，跑行程時還不忘幫馬小九買國旗裝，馬英九多次自嘲，自己在家裡的地位不如馬小九。1050520
